Teri Day Named to Medical Team GB for Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics

After 25 years supporting British Park and Pipe athletes on the world stage, Teri Day, PT and Director of Therapy at Vail-Summit Physical Therapy, is officially headed to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. She has been selected as a member of Team GB’s medical support staff for the Olympic Games.

For someone who has stood beside these athletes through setbacks, podiums, and world championships, this selection is a defining professional milestone.

A Season That Built Momentum

Teri’s Olympic appointment follows one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory for the British Freeski program.

In December 2025, she traveled to China with Zoe Atkin and Gus Kenworthy for Snow League’s inaugural event at Yunding Snow Park in Chongli. Zoe battled illness and was forced to withdraw, while Gus secured a third place finish.

Just one week later at the first World Cup of the season, Zoe rebounded with a silver medal at Yunding. The next stop at Copper Mountain brought even more momentum. Zoe claimed Gold. Gus finished fourth. Liam Richards secured ninth.

Behind every result was consistent, strategic support. Between training sessions, qualifiers, and finals, Teri managed recovery, mobility, soft tissue work, and the physical load demands of a discipline defined by repeated high impact landings and extreme forces.

X Games and Championship Pedigree

In January 2026 at X Games Aspen, Teri supported the entire British contingent in one of the sport’s most intense competitive environments.

  • Mia Brookes – Gold Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle, Bronze Women’s Snowboard Big Air

  • Kirsty Muir – Gold Women’s Ski Slopestyle, Silver Women’s Ski Big Air

  • Zoe Atkin – Gold Women’s Ski Pipe

These podium finishes are not isolated moments. They are the result of years of preparation, trust, and performance management.

A Long Term Partnership

Teri first began working with Zoe when she was just 15 years old as she transitioned into the World Cup circuit. Since then, she has supported Olympic preparation cycles, X Games appearances, and now a world championship campaign.

In 2025, Zoe became Halfpipe World Champion at the FIS Freestyle World Championships in St. Moritz Engadin, Switzerland. For Teri, who has helped guide her physical preparation through every stage of elite sport, it was a full circle moment.

“I’m so grateful for Teri and the support she’s provided me over the years,” Zoe shared. “It’s truly helped me unlock a new level of performance and the confidence to really go for it. She has been irreplaceable, helping my body be ready to win world championships.”

The Road to Milano Cortina

Teri departs for Livigno, Italy on February 13 to support the British Pipe Skiers, with finals scheduled for February 20 and 21.

From China to Copper, from Aspen to St. Moritz, Teri has been present through podiums, setbacks, and championships. Her selection to Team GB for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics reflects decades of commitment to optimizing athlete health and performance while earning the trust of those she supports.

When the world turns its attention to Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, a piece of Vail-Summit Physical Therapy will be standing behind Team GB in the pipe.
